LVA and VFI announce end to 'Price Freeze' with immediate effect

Following a High Court ruling of Friday, 24 July 2009, the two representative bodies for Irish publicans have today written to their respective members to advise them of the immediate cessation of the price freeze announced on 1 December 2008. The High Court has found that the price freeze was in breach of an undertaking given in respect of the settlement of previous proceedings taken by Competition Authority against both associations. more...
