About Us
Lively Traditional Pub, Centerally Located, LIVE Music every week, Excellent Home Cooked food, Large portions and fair prices. This pub is run by a young and passionate team of staff. We are proud of our pub and restaurant and know that you will be impressed by all aspects of it. Our service is friendly yet efficient. We still believe in having a chat with our customers.
Our menu consists of homemade Beef and Guinness Stew, Pizza, Pasta Burgers Grills and Steaks
Our prices range from €9.95 for a Mini Grill with Tea, Bread & Butter, up to €18.95 for a10oz Steak main course including all the the trimmings serverd in a skillet on a Bed of Saute Onions & Mushrooms with Deep Fried Onion rings on Top, Fresh Side Salad and French Fries AND Sauce of Your Choice.
For our younger diners we have Irish stew, Spaghetti Bolognese, Chicken Nuggets, Pizza and plenty more from just €4.95 each.
We open 7 days from 9am and serve right through until 10pm. Visa, Access, Mastercard and Laser accepted.
The Tara ARMS is situated in the heart of Tullow, the gateway between Carlow & Kilkenny. The Tara ARMS is a family run Bar & Restaurant, in existence for the last 50 years and is lucky enough to enjoy a very healthy local patronage.
We have strong links with many sporting organisations, the local GAA Club known as St Patricks, and Tullow Rugby Club who have produced such Sporting Heros as SEAN O BRIEN who has gone on to play for Leinster,The Heiniken Cup & Magners League and Irish International games. Also Brenard Jackman Irish and Leinster player.We support both our local soccor teams Tullow town and Parkville
The bar has 4 large TV screens and receives all the most popular channels including Setanta TV, Sky Sports and At the Races.
We pride ourselves on our good food at great quality prices and whilst we cater for all our local customers, all visitors to the town are most welcome to avail of our facilities.
The price of all our food is inclusive of VAT and there is no service charge. We also pride ourselves on our home cooking of traditional Irish dishes, amongst others, plus our daily home baking. Our breads, scones, apple pies, sherry trifle etc are popular throughout the year.
Families are well catered for with children's menus, high chairs etc all supplied.
Live music is provided every weekends with no cover charge.

WHAT’S ON OFFER / FACILITIES:
Our Restaurant area can comfortably seat 60 people and the spacious lounge area can seat approximately 100 people at any one time.
We are open daily from 9am to 10pm for food. We provide a wide variety of breakfast, lunch and evening meals at very affordable prices. We cater for families, large groups, birthday and Christmas parties, christening and funeral parties.
We hold a dance licence and have a large Function Room with Dance floor to the rear of the lounge. We provide a smoking area upstairs. We regularly host darts competitions, quiz nights and card games which have proven very popular with the locals, especially during those long winter evenings.
We pride ourselves in keeping our bar clean, friendly and above all we aim to please all our valued customers.
Our pub is available for parties and functions anytime, we can make that special event memorable for you.

"Best Aspect of Tullow"
Was staying in a local hotel with my partner. We didn't want to drink in the hotel bar and we were recommended the Tara Arms. We entered through the bar and were greeted by a really friendly barman (I think his name was 'Anto'). I drank wine, which he recommended (I have being buying it ever since). We weren't really hungry but, after a couple we had a look at the menu. We had another drink looking at the menu as there was so much to choose from. I had the Chicken noodles and my partner had the Sirloin Sizzler needless to say that's where we ate the next night. We had a great experience at the Tara Arms. Friendly staff, great food, great service. Tullow is a great place in general. Aileen

Attended the Gordon Bennett in Mt Wolsley, dined 3 nights in the pub, have been coming for the last 7 years, a warm welcome great food excellent service and good drink, always a pleasure.
