Located on one of Ireland's most beautiful islands, the Achill Head Hotel, takes great delight in extending a traditional Irish "Failte" to all its guests. The Shark Head Bar gets its name from the largest ever "Porbeagle Shark" caught in Irish waters.
The Shark Head bar is also home to some of Ireland's finest musicians and performance artists, the renowned Finnegan's Wake, Rebel Hearts, Ireland's finest Elvis impersonator Greg Traynor and Reigning Day to name but a few. All big matches and sporting events are shown live on our Big Screen.
Surrounded by breathtaking scenery and adjacent to glorious sandy beaches, this modern, comfortable hotel provides all the ingredients for the perfect family holiday.

For the art lover, Achill boasts a number of fine galleries, and the internationally famous "Scoil Acla" summer school is held every year in August, to promote art and traditional Irish music. The internationally acclaimed artist, Paul Henry, among others, resided in Achill, for many years.
