About Us
A trip to Riverstown would not be complete without a visit to Sean McDermott's & Son bar which is affectionately know by the locals as Sean Mac's. Located in the heart of the village, it is a popular destination for locals and visitors alike.
The family run bar has been trading for over a century in the picturesque village and has seen many characters over the years. There is great craic to be had in Sean Mac's, which is a ‘must be place' for all major sporting events.
The recently extended premises has at least doubled in size with the addition of the beer garden which is a major plus and an off-licence which stocks an extensive range of wine, beer and spirits.
The bar is uniquely situated next to a homely B&B which is an added attraction to tourists who don't have to worry about the taxi home - it's just a short walk!
Sean Mac's is the place to be for all major sporting events on Sky Sports, Setanta Sports and At the Races on a big screen plasma TV and surround sound system that adds to the atmosphere.
The heated beer garden has piped music so you miss none of the action. There are some must see features in the beer garden that add real character to the place, so come along to see for yourself.
There are also occasional traditional music sessions that can be great craic!
Local Attractions
* Located 20 minutes from Sligo town, which has shopping centres for all those shopping lovers.
* Sligo Folk Park is a short walk away from the bar and is a great attraction for tourists with an interest in rural Ireland.
With many rivers and Lough Arrow only 5 minutes away, it is a must stop for a few drinks after a hard days fishing.
*The James Morrison Traditional Cottage is another attraction in the area

"Good Night had by all"
Spent a weekend in the village and enjoyed a great night in Sean's. Very friendly locals and staff give a great atmosphere. the smoking area is too class and the pint is also super.....a visit is a must and we will be back
