About Us

Situated in a hollow between Mullahoran school football grounds and the church, we have plenty of entertainment. Glánn is one of Ireland's oldest pubs with records going back to 1700.

We are located approx 20 minutes drive from Cavan town centre, and five minutes from Granard. Here at Glánn we have live Irish music 7 nights a week due to the fact that the landlady herself is a very fine established country and western singer.

During 2005, when the local football team made it to the county final, Collette wrote a specially commissioned song for the final which was released on CD and still gets tremendous air play on the local radio stations. Along with her song the Great Mullahoran she also recorded some other Irish favorites.

You can catch Collette any night behind the bar filling pints and singing with backup from the locals, especially Seamus Donoghue who is a fine accordion player. Seamus and Collette also perform on stage regularly as they are both members of the local drama group.

We would like to extend a warm welcome to all our guests and invite them to experience a memorable evening with us where you will always be sure of good value. We also provide local transport home and there is also a spud or a sandwich available. Park up your tractor or Merc in our fully lit car park with CCTV and let us bring you home after a memorable evening.

Wonderful new guest rooms have been recently added to the premises and finished to a high standard and are Bord Fáilte approved. An excellent location to use as a base whatever the nature of your visit. Live Music most nights Heated smoking area
