About Us

We operate a traditional style family run pub, in a rural village and we provide a meeting place for the local community - be it just for a friendly get together, or a family social event. The pub has been on site since 1896 and we are continually developing and upgrading our services to meet the ever changing needs of our discerning clientele. Our lounge provides an excellent comfortable environment to entertain customers and invite them to partake of our extensive range of food and beverages. Whereas the adjacent bar area provides a more informal area for the local community to gather and discuss the daily goings on in the world, and enjoy all the up-to-date sports and news events provided by Sky Sports and all the international channels. Our function room has built up an excellent reputation for everything from family lunches, christenings and even small family weddings. It can accommodate 60 patrons for a sit down meal or up to 100 for stand-up buffets. We offer an extensive range of beers, spirits and wines from all corners of the world, so as to meet and serve the needs of our worldwide market. Our food is a traditional style based on locally produced products for which we are widely acclaimed. We provide a full range of Sky Sports as well as the Racing Channels, which blend well with our pool table and dart board. We have 2 smoking areas which are covered from the elements.
